A friend has an album, compiled by a nurse Williams, from 1915 – 1916, when Somerville was a military hospital. Williams was my friend’s aunt, and served as a nurse there. The book is filled with poems, quotations, and various forms of good wishes and regards from her military patients. The servicemen include their names, rank, and signatures. Pictures are included as well. This is a startling little piece of British history. Are you interested?
